The first reissue concerns the Ford RS200, which was originally developed in 1984 for participation in the World Rally Championship. The company plans to relaunch the RS200 with a mix of modern technical innovations and the driving experience of the time.
Boreham Ford RS200 & Escort MK1
The aim is, "the special DNA of the original vehicle“ for today’s drivers. And at least as spectacular is the rebirth of the Ford Escort Mk1, which first came onto the market in the late 1960s and quickly became a symbol of rally success. Boreham promises to recreate these vehicles faithfully to the original and even use historical chassis numbers. However, the announcement of LED headlights raises doubts about the accuracy of the replica. But we don't want to judge too quickly, we'll be surprised. Interested parties have not the possibility, the replicas, are easy to buy in stores.
USA, Canada, Europe and Asia
Instead of going to the dealership, the “applicants” must register via the Boreham Motorworks website to have a chance to win one of the Vehicles to buy. Applications will be accepted from next month and are limited to major markets such as the USA, Canada, Europe and Asia. And Boreham has already hinted at reissuing more Ford classics in the future, without naming any specific models. Candidates could include the Capri, the XR2i, the Sierra Cosworth or the RS1800. Prices and quantities are not yet known, but prices are expected to be very high and production numbers low.
