Electric classic: Everrati Porsche 911 as a restomod revolution?

When tradition meets technology – why Everrati’s electrified 964 is dividing the Porsche world

Porsche purists will shake their heads, but Everrati's latest remodel shows (unfortunately) how quickly times change.

This time, the British specialist for electric restomods has taken on a Porsche 911 (964) and not only given it a new heart, but also a design makeover.

Everrati Porsche 911 Restomod

Visually, much remains the same – but there is a lot of excitement under the hood. “The Viper Commission” Everrati calls the project. It begins with a disassembly of the original 964. The body was replaced by lightweight carbon parts which give the car a wider and more aggressive look.

Painted in striking Viper Green, to Fuchs-style rims in black with polished edges – the look is uncompromisingly retro-modern. Ducktail and revised headlights round off the package.

Electric drive instead of boxer

What many consider sacrilege – the abandonment of the legendary air-cooled six-cylinder – is part of Everrati's vision. Instead of a gasoline engine, the 911 is now powered by an electric motor, fed by a 62-kWh batteryAlthough Everrati does not reveal any specific performance data, the Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under 4 seconds speaks volumes.

The Sprint is therefore faster than many current sports cars. And the range, according to the manufacturer, is about 320 km per charge. That may not sound like much for long-distance enthusiasts, but for a vehicle that's likely to be used on winding country roads or in the city, it's more than enough.

Of course, the battery also brings additional weight with, which inevitably affects the handling. How the car performs in corners remains to be seen—Everrati didn't provide any details. But one can assume that a good portion of the classic "911 feeling" has been retained, at least in terms of the seating position and weight distribution.

Classic-modern interior

In the interior, Everrati shows that restomod does not mean sacrificing comfort. The cabin is equipped with black leather lined, crossed by gray accents. A small but cool detail: The green center stripe on the steering wheel at 12 o'clock – a homage to motorsport.

The design remains close to the original, but at a modern level. No overloaded infotainment, no colorful displays – rather a tidy, functional cockpit that combines old charm with new demands.

Climate protection instead of riots

The background to the radical conversion: According to Everrati, the owner is a personal commitment to the fight against climate change This explains the complete switch from combustion engines to Electric drive.

So it's not just about performance, but also about attitude. And that's where opinions differ: Some see the electric 911 as a Mutilation of a classic, the others celebrate him as a courageous step.

Conclusion

The Everrati 964 is fast, silent and provocativeIt retains the shape and feel of an iconic 911, but replaces its heart with modern technology. It's not for everyone – but it's a statement. And one that cannot be ignored. Image and video credits/source: Everatti
