The Mercedes G-Class has been on the market for over 40 years and has become a real icon alongside the Land Rover Defender and the Toyota Land Cruiser. And not only Mercedes lovers, but also Tuning fans have long since taken the off-road vehicle to their hearts. A particularly exciting example of “creative tuning” is the 2024 G-Vintage from the Polish specialist Carlex designwhich gives the classic a unique Retro look donated.

The look of the G-Vintage impresses with many classic elements such as a new front bumper, chrome-plated Decorative elements and massive Foot Rests on the sides. They all remind me of times gone by. Particularly striking is the different radiator grille, which shows the Carlex logo instead of the typical Mercedes star. The 20 inch rims in retro style (Remind me of Smoothie Rims) and the corresponding Whitewall tires round off the look and make the G-Class look like a classic.
And inside? A lot has happened there too. The G-Vintage G-Class The cabin is a mix of modern luxury and classic style. The infotainment and the Carbon elements on the passenger side give the interior a modern touch, while everything else completely with leather And a special highlight is the noble Wood paneling in the trunk, which gives the unique piece additional charm. Since Carlex specializes in interiors, the result is not surprising.

What is surprising, however, is that something has happened under the hood of the G-Vintage. This is rather unusual for Carlex Design. The technology of the AMG G63 has been changed. Carlex has brutally 805 PS & 1.020 Nm torque The technical data promise a top-class driving experience, even if Carlex does not provide any further details. The top speed of the tuned off-roader is, however, still expected to be 260 km/h The price for the G-Vintage remains a secret and is only available on request. Even the basic price of a AMG G63 but is at least 189.329 EUR, which suggests that Carlex tuning is not a bargain.
